Gagging-appliances.-A mouth-gag for use particularly in dental operations consists of two members b, c having grooves d to receive the lips and mounted slidably on a spring blade a. The members b, c are held frictionlly or by means of screws &c. The rear portions of the members b, c project as shown at m in plan view In Fig. 3 to form a protection for the inner surface of the cheeks. Finger-pieces f, g are provided for manipulating the instrument.
