Abstract

289,299. Borel, M. A. July 27, 1927. Addition to 282,709. Linear-dimension gauges.-The detachable contact members for the jaws of sliding calliper gauges described in the parent Specification are formed at the contacting parts by a cylindrical rod secured to the jaw of the callipers by means of a spring inserted between the contact member and the jaw so as not to press on the domed part of the latter. Detachable contact members 4, 5 are mounted on the jaws 2, 3, the members 4, 5 each being formed of a cylindrical rod 6 and a yoke 7 provided with a blade spring 8 grooved at 9 so as not to bear against the domed curved part of the jaw. The part 6 may be formed of two or more rods 11 screwed together.
