S c r e w mechanism above closure.-A stopper for hot-water bottles, water - beds, &c. comprises a rubber or like disc E supported by a metal disc D and seated against a shoulder on the socket G bv a screw A which works in a bridgepiece F and is formed with a central longitudinal perforation A' adapted to receive a loose rod C which is flanged at its ends and carries the discs D, E. The rod C is slightly longer than the perforation A'.
