Stoppers with valves. - In a combined stopper and socket for hot-water bottles, the stopper d and the socket a each comprise a tubular upper portion, open at its upper end and provided at its lower end with a truncated cone formed with apertures e, b and the stopper is provided with a screw f by which it is rotatably secured in the socket, the screw passing through a perforation a<2> in the lowest part of the outer cone a<1> and being secured by nuts g<1>, g<2>. A pin i on the stopper projects into a gap in the socket to enable the parts to be set in either the closed or open positions.
