Abstract

211,865. Larson, A. G. Feb. 23, 1923, [Convention date]. Ball bearing hinges; hinge pins.-A hinge with upper and lower socket members has the upper socket member formed with a screwthreaded portion 2 in order that the hinge pin 1 may be adjusted by means of a screwed plug 3, the lower end of the pin seating on balls 9. The lower socket is closed by a plug 6 secured in position by a pin 8, and a small centre ball 10 is provided to space the balls 9. The pin 1 is prevented from turning in the upper socket 2 by a set-screw 4. The ball bearing may be constructed by a single ball. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the arrangement in which members 1 and 3 are integral. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
