Abstract

1498023 Disc brake shoes GIRLING Ltd 27 Oct 1975 [11 Nov 1974] 48678/74 Heading F2E A keeper 6 limits the longitudinal movement of pad 3 relative to shoe 1 and a spring 8 bears directly on the pad to bias it away from the keeper. As shown the spring is clamped between the keeper and shoe and bears against a dovetail portion 4 of the pad or pad backing plate. The spring extends between two spaced lugs 7 on the keeper, the latter being movable (when bolts 5 are loosened) to a position in which lugs 7 are clear of the pad to allow its removal.
