Rims; tyre attachments to rims.-A thin metal foundation band a for a solid rubber tyre f is formed with recesses d surrounding apertures b through which the rubber is passed to key the tyre body to the band. The band shown is also provided with apertures h having struck-up sides g to resist creeping between the tyre and band. Side rings e, with undercut edges, may be welded &c. to the band, and thin metal rings k may be secured to the inner periphery of the band to form a flush surface with the rubber film on this surface. Detachable rim attachments to wheels.-The complete tyre may be secured to the wheel by radial bolts j i engaging the rings e and passed through the wheel felloe. If, as indicated at f<1>, the tyre is of the full width of the band ,cc, the bolts j may be replaced by set-screws entered from the inner periphery of the felloe into threaded holes in the rings e, or into nuts embedded in the tyre.
