Feedwater, supplying and controlling. - The operation of feed-supply apparatus comprising two chambers in which heated feed is collected and then discharged into the boiler in turn, in the manner described in the parent Specification, is controlled by a single pair of valves mounted opposite to one another and. actuated together from a single source of power. Sliding valves F, Fig. 3, operated by a lever control the steam admission and exhaust ports D, n of feed chambers G, G<1>, which are filled in turn with water supplied through non-return valves. The water is supplied through a pipe by an injector operated by exhaust steam. The exhaust ports may be connected to an intermediate chamber Q and the water drawn up from the feed tank by the reduction of pressure caused by the condensation of steam in the chambers.
