Abstract
253,992. Morris, A. O. March 24, 1925. Colourings.-A coloured or tinted meal for use in minced or chopped meats, such as sausage meat, meat and fish paste, &c., is made by dissolving a colour in a relatively large quantity of water, spraying the solution on to a relatively large quantity of starch, for example maize starch, and then mixing this coloured starch, in a small proportion and as a dry powder with the bulk of the cereal flour, for example cornflour or wheat flour. Specifications 4260/79, 22899/92, and 21478/10 are referred to.
