Abstract

A pest-control preparation consists of non-fatty granular or other shaped masses consisting of metaldehyde, a non-fatty animal foodstuff such as middlings, bran or finings and a mucilaginous material such as gum acacia. The preparation may be made by mixing the metaldehyde with a major proportion of the animal foodstuff, adding the mixture to an aqueous solution of the mucilaginous material, further mixing the product, partially drying the mixture, and forming the partially dried product into tablets. Waxes or a starchy material may also be added. Specification 508,125 is referred to.
