Bed-rests.-In a bed-rest of the kind comprising a base a, a hinged back-support b, and a hinged strut frame e adapted to engage notches g, and in which the back-support can be raised for adjustment by means of a cord i passing over a pulley j, both the cord i and the, adjusting handles h are placed within reach of the patient, who is there.by enabled to adjust the rest. The three frames a, b and e are each formed of three sides only, so that there is no rigid portion extending across the front of the back-rest, and are so pivoted together that they lie in a common plane when collapsed.
