Steering, balancing, and regulating altitude.- In aircraft wings of the type comprising an auxiliary supporting surface 2, adjustable bodily towards and away from the leading edge of the main wing, the auxiliary surface is supported and moved by swinging links 7, 8, pivoted on and perpendicular to the main wing. In a modification only one set of links is provided, the links 8 being replaced by guides for the rear ends of the arms 3. The position of the part 2 is controlled by the pilot by means of the rod 11, or according to the Provisional Specification by a connection to an aileron.
