Grinding-arrangements.-A guideroller 22 for driving belts and bands rotates in brackets 19 on a beam 10 turning on a pivot 9 at right angles to the roller axis, spring-pressed auxiliary rollers 31 of rubber or the like bearing on the main roller immediately beside the belt edges. If the belt moves laterally to engage either of the rollers 31, the beam 10 swings on its pivot 9 and the belt is returned. The rollers 31 rotate freely on arms 24 turning on pivots 25 adjustably secured in the brackets 19 and are pressed towards the main roller 22 by springs 35 bearing against struts 32 bolted to the brackets. The pivot block 9 is supported by a ball bearing 11 and a roller bearing 8 in a stationary beam 6, and rollers 12 on the beam 10 run upon adjustable tracks 14 on the beam 6, the pivoting being limited by stop-screws.
