Locking nuts.-A nut 1 is locked to a bolt 2 by means of a spring- actuated locking bolt 4 engaging a groove 3 in the bolt 2 and withdrawn by means of a tool 6 engaging the externally screw threaded end 5 of the locking bolt. A spring 7 is interposed between the head of the locking bolt and a ring 8 abutting against a pin 9 in the nut, the ring 8 normally taking the inclined position shown.
