Abstract

116,434. Tinker, F. J. Oct. 2, 1917. Locking nuts.-A nut 2 is locked on a bolt 6 by a screwed washer 9 with a split conical end engaging a recess 4 in the nut, a cam member 12 bearing against the washer being held in position in a recess 11 in the nut 2 by a roller 14. A rod is passed down the hole 13 to press back the cam 12 and allow the nut to be removed. Two nuts may be used, in which case a second conical end on the washer 9 engages a coned recess in the second nut.
