Stationary mixers with rotary stirrers. - In a modification of the grinding, refining, and mixing machine described in the parent Specification, the rods A carried by the grinding or mixing blade D are formed with bent or turned-over ends A<1>, one end passing over the end of the blade while the other bent end passes through a T or other slot B in the blade, which is provided with pins G', G' to receive a keyplate F placed between the blades and the bent ends of the rods where the slot is situated. The plate F is of flexible metal, and the rods A may be of round, rectangular, or other section. Or the rods may be machined so that their ends form a slot; or separate pieces may be screwed or otherwise fixed on the ends of the rods to form a slot.
