Abstract

250,689. Roberts, D. Jan. 20, 1925. Chocks.-The movable half chocks 1 mounted to slide in grooves in fixed supports 2 arranged transversely of the boat are held in their operative position by locking-devices 4 which take into the space between metal plates 11 attached to the face of the chocks. The bolts 4 are carried by a lever 5 rotating in eyed supports mounted on the base 2 and terminating in crank handles 8. The forward releasing gear is connected to the similar aft gear by a connecting-rod 7 so that operation of the crank handle causes the simultaneous release of the bolts 4 and consequent outward movement of the chocks under the weight of the boat. The keel of the boat adjacent to the chocks is provided with blocks 14 resting on rollers 12.
