207,498. Naamlooze Vennootschap Rotterdamsche Machinefabriek Braat. Nov. 22, 1922, [Convention date]. Davits.-A luffing davit of the quadrant type when moving outboard rolls on an inclined track 12 supported by a frame 13. During this rolling motion, a roller 15 on the end of the quadrant works along a cycloidally-curved surface 16 on the frame. When the roller 15 reaches the bottom of the track 16, the whole davit cants outboard about this point until the davit assumes the position shown in chain lines. During this canting motion, horns 19 on the davit heads which take the weight of the boat when inboard, are retracted from slots in the upper pulley blocks.
