Oars and rowing apparatus. - A bow facing oar comprises blade and shaft sec tions 1, 2 hinged to gether at 5, the shaft 1 being pivotally supported at 6 on a frame 7 pivotally mounted at 8 on the gunwale. The blade 2 is slidablv mounted in a forked collar 11 which is pivotally mounted at 10 on the frame 7.
