Abstract

372,172. Beaching boats. KEMPER, D., 3, Br³ckenstrasse, Beuel-on- Rhine, Germany. July 24, 1931, No. 21227. Convention date, July 29, 1930. [Class 113 (ii).] A device for beaching boats comprises a track b which pivots about an axis c and is provided with a truck g designed when it is at the rear of the track c to receive the stem of the boat which by depressing a spring-controlled lever m unhooks the truck from the central rails e. The track g during its forward movement engages with a frame i which carries two lateral trucks h which are initially located in - depressions at the rear of the lateral tracks f. Continued forward movement of the central track g with the frame i causes the advance and elevation of the lateral tracks to engage with the sides of the boat towards the stern. When the boat is fully on the track, lateral plates p, vare raised by screw-gear to remove the weight of the boat from the tracks. A winch d is provided at the head of the track b and rollers k at the tail the latter lying higher than the lateral trucks when they rest in the track depressions.
