Benches, work. - For enabling the scaffold or construction frames described in the parent Specification to be readily transported on an aeroplane to the place where a damaged machine may be situated, the frames are formed with air-cutting or streamline surfaces so that they can be fitted to an aircraft without undue interference with its flying capacity. Fig. 3 shows a wing-template 3 supported on jacks while a damaged aircraft is being repaired, the edges of the template being streamlined to enable it to be carried in a horizontal position beneath the wings of a transporting aircraft. Alternatively, streamlined templates may be secured to the sides of the fuselage and to the upper surface of the wings. Fig 9 shows wing templates 16 and a body template 17 temporarily inserted in the wings and fuselage of a transporting aeroplane, the connections between the parts of the wings and fuselage being lengthened for this purpose. Sighting devices are provided on the templates to facilitate adjustment on the damaged machine.
