Piling.-Sheet-piling walls are strengthened by the inclusion of box members made by joining two sheet piling sections by means of locking bars the joints of which correspond with those of the sheet piling sections. Each of the box members a, Fig. 1, is composed of two sections b identical with the sheet piling sections c. Two such members are connected by locking pins d, while a box member and a single pile section may be connected by a locking bar e. Fig. 3 shows a simplified form of lock for partly rolled sections g.
