Moulding pipes and tubes.- Pipes lined internally by the centrifugal process with concrete, bituminous &c. material c, d extensions e, f of which cover the transverse faces terminating the pipe bore, have an annular groove formed in each of these extensions to take a ring g of plastic material provided with a core h of nearly inextensible material such as hemp. The grooves are formed in the centrifugal process by the provision of a rib on the mould faces of the end mould rings, and the ends e, f may be thickened by setting back the end mould rings.
