Regulation, automatic.-A regulator of the interrupter type used in conjunction with dynamobattery systems and having series and shunt windings. has a resistance in shunt with the series winding which is of substantially less value than that of the winding, so that the number of turns of that winding may be increased without increasing its flux and that voltage variations due to change of load may be small. To enable the same regulator to be efficiently used with various types of batteries the resistance is made interchangeable as by being constructed as a plug-in device.
