Abstract

247,392. Irle, R. A. Feb. 19, 1925. Ventilators. - 4 roof ventilator, Fig. 4, comprises a cap member 6, 1, 4 above the outlet 16 and a cup member 8, 2, 3 mounted within the outlet so as to leave passages 9, 14. With this arrangement the wind passes through the ventilator in an undulating stream having contracted portions above the passages 9, 14 so as to produce a suction effect upon the air in the building. Fig. 8 shows a multiple arrangement. The device may also be used to remove gases &c. from mines. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 2539/81, 13621/84, and 213,523, [all in Class 25, Chimneys &c.].
