Abstract

246,824. Budd Wheel Co., (Assignees of Nelson, E. A.). Jan. 29, 1925, [Convention date]. Disc wheels; double and multiple wheels arranged side by side.-In a multiple or single disc wheel of the kind in which a flat tyre-carrying rim part is riveted to a flange on each disc, the rim member 16 of each wheel is formed with a transverse seat 40 for the reception of a portion of an angled valve stem, the outer portion of the valve stem being preferably disposed in a handhole 41 in the disc body. In a multiple wheel, each wheel disc is formed with a number of handholes aligned with the corresponding handholes in the other wheel discs, the discs being secured together with their valve stems offset from each other, one valve stem being set in each of the aligned sets of handholes.
