Abstract

246,807. Lautour, F. de. Jan. 29, 1925, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Vapours, utilizing for effecting further evaporation ; progressive evaporators.-In evaporating liquids such as brine the liquid passes from a tank 5 through a preliminary heater 1 and in succession through evaporators 8 - - 12. Each evaporator is fitted with a compressor 17 which withdraws steam from the evaporator by a pipe 22 and passes the compressed steam through a coil 32 in the evaporator. The condensate from the coils passes bv a pipe. 42 to a coil 2 in the preliminary heater. Steam may be passed through the coil 2 from a pipe 46.
