Abstract
227,842. Ruths, J. Jan. 14, 1924, [Convention date]. Heating by heated liquids.- High pressure steam is generated in a pipe coil C or other surface apparatus placed in a chamber B and heated by the vapour from a liquid heated in a separate chamber A. Condensed vapour is returned to the liquid heating chamber through a pipe L<2>, which may be fitted with a regulating valve. A pump may be used to assist the return of the condensed vapour. Vapour may be supplied to the chamber B from a number of liquid heating chambers. A liquid having a high boiling point such as liquid naphthalene or phenanthrene is preferably used.
