227,868. Ruths, J. Jan. 17, 1924, [Convention date]. Addition to 227,842, [Class 123 (ii), Steam generators]. Superheating by hot liquids and gases.-The method of heating a pipe coil or the like for generating steam described in the parent Specification is used for superheating steam or for reheating exhaust or inter-stage steam. The steam is passed through a pipe coil &c. C heated in a vessel B by the vapour at low pressure of a liquid having a high boiling point, such as naphthalene. Steam may be reheated in or in the vicinity of the engine. Steam may be generated by vapour of a lower pressure than that of the vapour used for superheating the steam.
