U-tube superheaters.-An inter-stage reheating apparatus for steam turbines comprises a longitudinally divided drum A with re-heater tubes C connecting the compartments B, B<1> placed in one of a number of parallel paths G, G<1> for the furnace gases of the steam generator, the flow of which gases past the re-heater is regulated by a damper H. The separate reheaters may be traversed by the hot gases in series or parallel.
