Abstract

245,073. Michel, G. Dec. 23, 1924, [Convention date]. Fluxes for the autogenous welding and soldering of magnesium and its alloys comprise the fluxes commonly employed for the welding &c. of aluminium to which is added magnesium fluoride or magnesium fluoride and ammonium chloride. In an example to an aluminium flux containing 8-15 per cent by weight of lithium chloride, 10-35 per cent of ammonium chloride and 8-15 per cent of magnesium fluoride is added.
