Abstract

244,589. Barnett, R. W. G. Dec. 30, 1924. Disc wheels.-The rim 3 of a double-walled metal wheel centre 4 is formed with an annular recess 7 in which fits a tongue 9 on a wooden felloe 8 carried by the rim 3. Lightening holes 5 are formed in the wheel centre 4. The felloe 8 is shod with a metal tyre 10 and is secured on the rim 3 by bolts 11 which may have coned heads 12 engaging countersunk holes in the tyre 10.
