Abstract

243,910. Showell & Sons, Ltd., E., and Griffiths, H. J. Jan. 3, 1925. Single-acting bucket pumps. - A lubricating pump particularly intended for use with a dripfeed motor-cycle lubricating system comprises a cylinder 3 in which is reciprocated by means of an eccentric cam 13 a tubular piston 5, the bore of which is controlled by a one-way valve 15. Inlet and outlet valves 8, 9 are mounted in tubular extensions 3b threaded inside and out to take the valve abutment 10 and the unions 11 respectively. An air inlet relief valve is mounted near the inlet 8. The cam-shaft is packed by means of a leather washer (not shown) held between collars.
