Abstract
Stable mixtures which yield salts of sulphochloramides when added to water are prepared by mixing a sulphonamide or a salt thereof with a hypochlorite. A salt may be added to the mixture which precipitates the metal of the hypochlorite as an insoluble salt to avoid the formation of an insoluble soap when the mixture is used for washing. According to one example, calcium hypochlorite is mixed with p-toluene sulphonamide and in a second, calcined soda is added to a mixture of these two substances. In a third example, calcium hypochlorite, potassium toluene sulphonamide and Glauber's salt are mixed together. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the production of sulphohalogenamides. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.ALSO:Stable mixtures for use in washing and bleaching which yield salts of sulphocloramides when added to water are prepared by mixing a sulphonamide or a salt thereof with a hypochlorite. A salt may be added to the mixture which precipitates the metal of the hypochlorite as an insoluble soap when the mixture is used for washing. According to one example calcium hypochlorite is mixed with p-toluene sulphonamide and in a second, calcined soda is added to a mixture of these two substances. In a third example calcium hypochlorite, potassium toluene sulphonamide and Glauber's salt are mixed together. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the production of mixtures yielding other sulphohalogenamides. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
