Abstract

253,016. Neher, F. A. Jan. 4,1926. Tempering.-A mixture for use in metal tempering baths comprises Glauber's salt, yellow prussiate of potash or soda, an alkali cyanide and common salt, the mixture being dissolved in water. In an example, 8 pennyweights of Glauber's salt, 25 pennyweights of yellow prussiate of potash, 40 pennyweights of sodium cyanide and 160 pennyweights of common salt are mixed and dissolved in 1 gallon of water.
