Abstract

Dry durable mixtures of high bleaching power which yield active chlorine when dissolved in water are obtained by mixing an aromatic sulphodichloramide with a powdered caustic alkali or an oxide or hydroxide of an alkaline earth, or a salt of alkaline reaction. The following examples are specified, viz.: mixtures of 1 part of p-toluenesulphondichloramide with (1) 1 part of calcined sodium carbonate, (2) 2 parts of powdered sodium silicate, (3) 1-3 parts of trisodium phosphate, (4) 0,5-1 part of dry powdered caustic soda, (5) 1-5 parts of pulverulent slaked lime.ALSO:Bleaching materials; arylsulphondichloramides.--Dry durable mixtures of high bleaching power which yield active chlorine when dissolved in water are obtained by mixing an aromatic sulphodichloramide with a powdered caustic alkali or an oxide or hydroxide of an alkaline earth, or a salt of alkaline reaction. The following examples are specified, viz. mixtures of 1 part of p-toluenesulphondichloramide with (1) 1 part of calcined sodium carbonate, (2) 2 parts of powdered sodium silicate, (3) 1-3 parts of trisodium phosphate, (4) 0,5-1 part of dry powdered caustic soda, (5) 1-5 parts of pulverulent slaked lime.
