Abstract

240,010. Garner, H., and Garner, J. P. Oct. 9, 1924. Motors, mounting.- The engine is mounted on three universal joint connections two of which allow telescopic movement, the other being at one side of the engine. The former, Fig. 3, comprise a trunnion 7 secured to the engine and passing into a ball 9 in a socket bolted to the chassis and consisting of a lower part 4 and a cap 5. In the rigid joint, Fig. 5, the part 9 is either made integral with the trunnion or secured thereto by a pin 10.
