Abstract

150,690. Angeli, J. M. C. Sept. 8, 1919, [Convention date]. Axles and axle structures; radius-rods.-The axle sockets 21 of driven steering-wheels are connected to the gear casing 2 on the main frame by means of transverse jointed tubes 13 enclosing jointed driving axles 12, a single transverse spring 20 and radius rods extending towards the rear. The inner end of the tube 13 is formed with upper and lower trunnions which bear against corresponding parts on the casing 2 in such a way that the point of contact of the wheel with the road does not move transversely with the play of the springs. This joint is also adapted to ensure that the tube may pivot only in a vertical plane.
