Filters having sheet filtering-materials. - A slotted tubular member 6 provided on its inside and outside with gauze or like strainers 10, 11 of different mesh is mounted inside a second tube 1 provided at the bottom with a ball-valve 3. The two tubes are secured within a casing 12 by means of a screw-cap 13. An inlet 15 and a pump connection 16 are provided, apertures 4 in the tube 1 permitting the escape of the filtered oil. A spring 7 is provided between the tube 6 and its supporting collar 8.
