Abstract

Domestic and portable filters; filters having sheet filtering-materials.-A filter which works by reduced air pressure and which is suitable for filtering milk and for domestic and similar uses comprises an inner vessel a having its bottom c formed of a filtering- medium or perforated and covered with a filtering- medium. The vessel moves in an airtight manner, as by a piston ring d, in an outer vessel b. The liquid to be filtered is placed in the vessel a which is then raised slowly upwards by any means the diminished pressure causing the liquid to flow through into the vessel b, for which discharge devices may be provided.
