Abstract

238,395. Saunders, S. E. Sept. 22, 1924. Hulls.-In hulls having a bottom of the wavecollecting type such as is described in Specification 191,612, wherein a central longitudinal channel or space open at each end and at the lower part extends from the bow to stern of the hull, the surfaces which connect the vertical sides c to the horizontal top e of the channel are formed in steps h, h<1> being the tread and i the risers. These treads and risers may be horizontal and vertical or at an angle to the horizontal and vertical. The stepped channel may be stepped transversely at different points along the hull.
