Abstract

238,067. Marks, E. C. R., (Ingersoll-Rand Co.). July 21, 1924. Aspirating-apparatus, ejector.-In a barometric condenser of the type in which air &c. are withdrawn by steam jet ejectors delivering into an auxiliary condenser provided with a separator the ejectors P discharge into the auxiliary condenser R in a radial direction as shown. Water is delivered to the auxiliary chamber R from the water chamber F of the main condenser and flows over a weir U which is prolonged downwards as an apron V to hinder water from passing to a pipe S leading to the air pump &c. Steam enters the main condenser A through a pipe D under a hood E and water flows over a weir G and a baffle J.
