Aspirating apparatus, ejector.-Steam ejectors operating in series with intermediate condensers for the production of a vacuum are arranged in the same vertical axial line, with the intermediate condenser or condensers at the side a short distance away, whereby only a small extent of floor space is occupied. The first ejector a has a steam inlet d and a suction opening c, and discharges the mixture to the intermediate condenser b through a short curved pipe c. The second ejector a<1> is connected to the condenser by a conduit f, steam being admitted through an inlet g. Specification 14042/04 is referred to.
