Abstract
211,388. Soc. Anon. pour l'Exploitation des ProcÚdÚs M. Leblanc- Vickers. March 22, 1923, [Convention date]. Aspirating-apparatus, injector.-In a condenser system such as that described in Specification 192,357 in which air is removed from the main condenser by two sets of steam-ejectors arranged in series and discharging into two auxiliary condensers cooled by the condensate from the main condenser, the two auxiliary condensers are enclosed in a single rectangular casing A divided by a diagonal partition B into compartments C, D. The ejectors G of the first stage discharge into the lower portion of the wide end of the compartment C, and the steam &c. are constrained by vertical baffles to take a zig-zag course through the compartment, cooling water flowing through vertical tubes in counter-current to the steam &c. The uncondensed fluids pass through an opening M at the narrow end of the compartment C to a second set of ejectors P discharging into the broad end of the compartment D which is arranged in a similar fashion to the compartment C.
