Abstract
220,663. Fothergill, H. Feb. 16, 1923. Aspirating-apparatus, ejector.-In apparatus for removing vapour from a condenser and for like purposes, such as that described in Specifications 24192/13 and 129,871, [both in Class 32, Distilling &c.], the pump is provided with two barrels a, b, Fig. 4, and discharges condensate from the main condenser C through the tubes r of the condenser t into which the ejector s discharges. The condensate from the condenser r enters the barrel a above the bucket through a pipe e, the air and vapour passing through a pipe f to the bottom of the barrel. A portion of the air and vapour may also enter the barrel b above the bucket, as shown by the dotted lines. The air and vapour passing through the pipe f may be cooled by a jet of water entering by the pipe k. A portion of the condensate may be returned to the condenser C by a by-pass from the outlet header of the condenser r when required. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 21890/13 and 129,871, [both in Class 32, Distilling &c.].
