Abstract

237,077. Wilson, J. C. June 27, 1924. Brush stocks are made up of interchangeably connected parts. In the construction shown in Fig. 2 the stock comprises two similar parts a, one edge of each part having a dovetail wedge shaped recess a<1> and a spring pressed button c, a correspondingly shaped projection a<2> and an aperture c' in which the button c engages when the parts are slidably engaged. In a modification the parts a may be connected together by press studs, one edge of each part being formed with a rib or projection and the other edge with a corresponding groove or recess to ensure a rigid connection. The stocks may be made of wood, celluloid, vulcanite &c. According to the Provisional Specification each row or a series of rows of bristles may be attached to a separate backing and each backing adapted to be interchangeably slid, locked or held with a one piece holder made of non-rusting sheet metal.
