Abstract

225,048. Barnett, C., and Barnett, W. Aug. 17, 1923. Brushes with bristle surface inclined.-Some or all of the bristle-tufts, set at right angles to a flat surface of the stock, have their ends bevelled in the same transverse plane to form a continuous brushing surface which is disposed at an inclination to the flat stock surface and extends along the whole length of the brush. In the nail brush shown in Fig. 3 the ends of the bristles are bevelled to form a V-shaped brushing surface. Fig. 4 shows an arrangement wherein the bristles are cut to form two differently-inclined surfaces B<2>, B<3>. In other arrangements some of the bristles are formed to provide one or more inclined brushing surfaces while the rest of the bristles provide a surface parallel to the inner surface of the brush stock.
