Abstract

383,593. Fixing brush bristles. KULLEN, P. and KULLEN, E., (trading as WœRTT. BœRSTEN & P I N S E LFABRIK KULLEN & CO.), Reutlingen, Germany. July 19, 1932, No. 20380. Convention date, Sept. 7, 1931. [Class 19.] Brush bristles c, Fig. 1, are held between a strip a provided with prongs b and another strip d over which the prongs b are bent. The strip d may have.similar prongs. The bristles are applied so that tufts c are formed between the prongs. It is preferable to stagger the prongs so that the tufts are somewhat inclined. The strips a, d may be bent as in Fig. 3 and can be used in this form for making brushes. The strips may also be bent before application of the bristles. The composite strip may be bent into the form of a helix or circle.
