Abstract

401,937. Hair combs. GOLDCROWN M. J., (trading as JULIUS, M.), 303, Old Street, London. March 7, 1933, No. 6901. [Class 131.] In a comb for use in setting permanently waved hair, the back 1 is curved in a plane at right angles to the teeth, so as to fit the head, and is provided with a ridge or thickening 4 on the outer side of the curve. The comb is provided with a handle 3 which may be curved in the opposite direction to the back 1, may be provided with teeth, and may be formed integrally with either the back 1 or the thickening 4. The thickening 4 may be formed by securing a strip to the back 1 or by forming the back of twice the required width and then doubling it upon itself. The spaces between the roots of the teeth are at least as wide as the teeth themselves, and the handle 3 is provided with a blunt end 5.
