Abstract
363,011. Hair combs. NASH, A. W., 15A, Fore Street, St. Austell, Cornwall Sept. 20, 1930, No. 28165. [Class 131.] A comb for waving human and other hair comprises two relatively adjustable parts a, b, Fig. 2, each provided with teeth, the teeth a<1>, b<1> of the two parts being of such cross section that in passing round one set of teeth the hair is bent gradually, and in passing round the other set of teeth the hair is bent sharply in a direction opposite to that in which it was bent in passing round the first set of teeth. The teeth a<1> may be of round cross section, and the teeth bl of half round, rectangular, or sector shape. In the modification shown in Fig. 4, the teeth e, f are of the same cross section but the teeth f are reversed relatively to teeth e. The two parts a, b are connected together by a pin and slot or other suitable device, and in use, the two parts are relatively displaced laterally after insertion in the hair, in order that the hair may be bent in the desired manner.
